A large population based cohort study concluded that higher long term nut intake was associated with better average cognitive status.

Walnuts in particular are high in essential fatty acids, important for brain function……and don’t you love how a walnut actually looks like a miniature brain??


Nuts and Blood Pressure….

In a review of various clinical trials, results concluded that total nut consumption lowered systolic blood pressure in participants without type 2 diabetes. Pistachios seemed to have the strongest effect on reducing systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure. Mixed nuts also reduced diastolic blood pressure!
