Saturated fat was demonised because it apparently raised cholesterol, leading to heart disease. Finally the research is showing that this is not the case.

Research in the past has shown high cholesterol can decrease with the consumption of almost any fat, including saturated fat, and low cholesterol can increase with the consumption of most fats as well.

In reality, there is no predetermined cholesterol outcome when you eat saturated fat.

Nourishing fats play a vital role in helping us feel full – avoiding sugar cravings!

Avoid vegetable oils, margarines, spray oils and trans fats.

“Vegetable oils” are not made from vegetables. They are plant based crop oils – soy, canola, cottonseed and corn that are highly processed and highly unstable.

Nourishing fats and oils such as cold pressed extra virgin olive oil, ghee, coconut oil, nuts, seeds, avocado, good quality butter, oily fish, eggs, grass fed meat and full fat yoghurt assist with cell structure, repair and energy and assist hormone signalling (including appetite regulation).
